The sun is in the center of our solar system, and is made by hot plasma heated by nuclear fusion.
The suns diameter is 1.39 million kilometers.
The suns mass consists of Hydrogen 73% and 25% Helium and other smaller heavy elements as oxygen, carbon, neon and iron.
The sun was formed 4.6 billion years ago.
The core of the sun fuses 600 million tons of hydrogen into helium every second and converting 4 million tons of matter into energy every second.
